Carrying my captain, the shame, the loss and fear

Skull-dragging rock bottom, I was praying for relief
The numbness in my mind, the wounds upon my soul
Didn’t know love, couldn’t feel love, not even for myself
Couldn’t live that way forever, that’s no way to grow old
All the raging – I had to stop it
Endless sorrow – I had to drop it
